The Bengal Pro T20 League 2024 saw two matches played on Sunday, June 23. Rashmi Medinipur Wizards beat Howrah Diamonds by eight wickets in the 24th match whereas Murshidabad Kings defeated the Lux Shyam Kolkata Tigers by six runs in the next game.

Sobisco Malda Smashers are at the top of the Bengal Pro T20 League 2024 standings with 10 points. Murshidabad Kings moved from third to second with nine points and a net run rate of +0.492.

Medinipur Wizards jumped from fourth to third with nine points and a net run rate of +0.448. Kolkata Tigers slipped from second to the fourth spot with eight points.

Adamas Howrah Warriors remain in the fifth position with six points and a net run rate of -0.201. Servotech Siliguri Strikers follow them at the sixth position with four points and a net run rate of -0.181.

Shrachi Rarh Tigers are in the seventh position with four points and a net run rate of -0.371. The Harbour Diamonds crashed to their seventh successive loss in the Bengal Pro T20 League 2024 and remain at the bottom of the table.

The first game of the day saw the Harbour Diamonds face yet another defeat in the Bengal Pro T20 League 2024.

Batting first, the Diamonds posted a total of 169 for the loss of six wickets. Subham Sarkar smashed a 28-ball 51 while Prayas Ray Barman (38) and Badal Singh Balyan (29) made decent contributions.

It proved to be a one-sided affair as the Medinipur Wizards overhauled the target in just 17.5 overs with eight wickets to spare. They put up an all-round batting performance. Priyanshu Srivastav slammed an unbeaten 57-ball 88 while skipper Sudip Chatterjee scored an unbeaten 37-ball 58.

Vivek Singh also played a vital cameo, striking 23 runs off just nine deliveries.

In the second game, the Murshidabad Kings could only manage to post a total of 133/8 as they batted first. Agniv Pan was the top-scorer with 48 runs. Sayan Sankar Ghosh and Karan Lal scalped three wickets apiece for the Kolkata Tigers while Saurabh Srivastav chipped in with two as well.

In response, skipper Abhishek Porel (26) and Subham Chatterjee (23) made vital contributions to the Kolkata Tigers. Rohit Ghosh (39*off 16) fought till the end to take them close. However, they fell short by six runs in the end and lost the game.

Nitin Verma and Sukhmeet Singh picked up three wickets each for Murshidabad, guiding them to a narrow win.
