Murshidabad Kings won the fourth match of the Bengal Pro League 2024 against Siliguri Strikers by seven wickets. Shrachi Rarh Tigers, meanwhile, won the fifth game against Harbour Diamonds by 23 runs.

Malda Smashers have moved to first place from second and have a net run rate (NRR) of +1.397. Rarh Tigers have jumped to second position from seventh and have an NRR of +1.150.

Kolkata Royal Tigers have slipped to third place from first and have one win to their name. They have an NRR of +1.107. Murshidabad Kings have jumped to the fourth position from eighth and have an NRR of +0.967. They won their first game of the season.

Siliguri Strikers have slipped to fifth place from third and have won and lost one game each. They have a net run rate of -0.284. Harbour Diamonds have moved to sixth position from fourth, having lost both their matches. They have an NRR of -0.775.

Howrah Warriors have slipped to seventh place from sixth and Medinipur Wizards have moved to eighth from fifth. Both teams lost their first game of the season and have an NRR of -1.107 and -1.397, respectively.


Sayan Mondal's lone effort not enough as Harbour Diamonds lose to Shrachi Rarh Tigers

Siliguri Strikers won the toss against Murshidabad Kings and elected to bat. Only three batters reached double-digit scores for the Strikers as they were bundled out for 113 runs in 19.1 overs. Nitin Verma was the pick of the Kings bowlers, taking three wickets for 21 runs in 3.1 overs.

In reply, the Kings lost two early wickets. However, a 71-run partnership between Sudip Kumar Gharami and Shuvam Dey helped them bounce back. Sudip was the highest scorer and remained unbeaten on 48 runs off 34 deliveries. The Kings won the match by seven wickets after chasing down the target of 114 runs in 17.5 overs. Akash Deep took three wickets for the Strikers and gave away 19 runs in four overs.

Shrachi Rarh Tigers, meanwhile, elected to bat after winning the toss against Harbour Diamonds. Arindam Ghosh scored 54 runs off 46 deliveries for the Tigers and helped his side post 141 runs for the loss of seven wickets in 20 overs. Mohammed Kaif picked up three wickets for 17 runs in four overs for the Diamonds.

In reply, Sayan Mondal scored 51 runs off 45 deliveries for the Diamonds. However, he didn’t receive any support from the other batters. The Diamonds scored 118 runs for the loss of seven wickets in 20 overs and lost the match by 23 runs. Suman Das, Arnab Nandi, and Shahbaz Ahmed took two wickets each for the Tigers.
