England white-ball captain Jos Buttler left a comment on his Rajasthan Royals teammate Sanju Samson's latest Instagram post on Sunday, October 13. Sanju showcased his exceptional form by scoring a stunning century off just 40 balls (the second-fastest by an Indian) in the third T20I against Bangladesh on Saturday, October 12, at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.

The Indian batter also earned the Player of the Match award as the Men in Blue defeated Bangladesh by 133 runs, completing a clean sweep in the three-match T20I series. After the game, the 29-year-old shared a post on Instagram with the caption:

“I believed.”

Buttler commented, praising the Indian batter for his outstanding innings. He wrote:

Meanwhile, Buttler missed the recently concluded five-match ODI series against Australia because of a lingering calf injury. The 34-year-old last played in the semi-final of the 2024 T20 World Cup against India in June, where his team lost by 68 runs.

Sanju Samson's remarkable performance helps India achieve the second-highest total in T20I cricket

The Men in Blue won the toss and opted to bat first in the third T20I against Bangladesh. The hosts had a shaky start, losing Abhishek Sharma for just four runs. However, Sanju Samson and captain Suryakumar Yadav turned the tide, forming a formidable partnership of 173 runs for the second wicket off just 69 balls.

Samson delivered an outstanding performance, scoring 111 runs off 47 balls, with 11 boundaries and 8 sixes. Suryakumar was equally impressive, hitting 75 runs off 35 balls, including eight boundaries and 5 sixes.

Riyan Parag (34 off 13 balls) and Hardik Pandya (47 off 18 balls) also contributed significant cameos as India finished with a total of 297/6, marking the second-highest team total in T20I history.

In response, Bangladesh never seemed to be in the game, ending their innings at 164/7 in 20 overs and losing by 133 runs. Ravi Bishnoi was the standout bowler for India, taking three wickets.
