The River Rine Club secured a 16-run win over the Gauhati Town Club in the 11th match of the ongoing Assam T20 Pride Cup 2024, while the City Cricket Club secured a five-wicket win against the Ankurjyoti Club in the 12th encounter.

The River Rine Club moved one spot up to the second rank with three wins and a loss in four games, picking up six points at an NRR of 0.373. The City Cricket Club ascended from the fifth to the second rank with two wins, one loss, and a no result, accumulating five points at an NRR of 0.734.

The Gauhati Town Club slipped from the top to the third rank with two wins, one loss, and a no-result, picking up five points at an NRR of 0.558. The New Star Club descended from the third to the fourth rank with one win, a loss, and two no-result clashes, bagging four points at an NRR of -0.140.

Bud CC glided down from the fourth to the fifth rank with four points at -0.518 while Ankurjyoti Club continued to hold the wooden spoon with four successive defeats.

Moving to the details of the day's first game, the River Rine Club batted first and got bundled out for 109 runs in 18.5 overs. Akash Chetri, batting in the lower order, scored 34 runs in 25 balls with three fours and one six. Hrishikesh Deka scalped a fifer, conceding only nine runs in four overs.

In response, the Gauhati Town Club looked on backfoot right from the starting overs. Keeper-batter Prakhar Mundra's 35-ball 13-run knock kept them in danger in the chase.

Though Arnab Borah scored 34 runs in 32 balls with two fours, it wasn't enough for the chasing side as they could rack up only 93/8 in 20 overs, losing the game by 16 runs. Bikash Chetri scalped a three-fer for RRC.

In the day's second game, the Ankurjyoti Club batted first and got bundled out for a below-par total of 76 runs in 17.4 overs. Romario Sharma scalped a three-fer, conceding 21 runs in four overs with two maidens, while Sanjib Barman picked up two wickets for the City Cricket Club.

In the chase, the City Cricket Club took 14 overs to chase down 79 runs with five wickets in hand. Opening batters Sanjib Barman (25) and Sanjay Singh (22) were the star batters in the second innings to take their side over the line.
