Gauhati Town Club elected to bat against City Cricket Club in the 15th match of the Assam T20 Pride Cup 2024 after winning the toss. Bishal Sharma was the highest scorer for the Town Club and made 33 runs off 39 deliveries.

The Town Club posted a total of 110 runs for the loss of eight wickets in 20 overs. Only four other batters managed to make a double-digit score. Vedant Pandey was the pick of the bowlers for the City Cricket Club.

Sanjib Barman and Angshuman Katoni were the only batters who crossed the 20-run mark for the City Cricket Club. Barman made 39 runs off 32 deliveries, while Katoni scored 22 runs off 28 deliveries. They helped the City Cricket Club reach the target of 111 runs in 18.5 overs with one wicket in hand. Kangkan Talukdar was the most successful bowler for the Town Club and picked up three wickets for 19 runs in four overs. Barman won the Player of the Match award.

In the 16th match, River Rine Club elected to bat against Bud CC. Roshan Basfor played a fine knock of 45 runs off 42 deliveries for the River Rine Club. He helped the team post a total of 130 runs for the loss of eight wickets. Arup Das bowled an exceptional bowling spell and picked up four wickets for 25 runs in four overs.

Bud CC scored 37 runs for the loss of two wickets in six overs before the match was interrupted due to rain. River Rine Club won the match by two runs by the VJD method. Roshan won the Player of the Match award for his batting performance.

Wasiqur Rahman is still the leading run-scorer this season and is just two runs short from breaching the 150-run mark. Victor Kashyap has jumped to second place from sixth, while Yogesh Tiwari has moved to third position from second. They have 126 runs and 124 runs to their name, respectively.

Arnab Borah is still in fourth place and has scored 122 runs in five outings.

Sanjib Barman (116 runs) has jumped to fifth position from eighth. Md Habibullah (115 runs) has slipped to sixth place from third. Bishal Sharma (113 runs) is still in seventh position. These are the only other three batters who have scored more than 100 runs so far this season. Habibullah has made runs at a strike rate of 140.24, which is the highest among the top 10 run-scorers.

Arun Sonar has moved to eighth place from fifth. Angshuman Katoni has jumped to the ninth position from 10th. Yuvraj Tewari slipped to 10th place from ninth. They have made 99, 95, and 89 runs, respectively.

Amit Sinha has slipped to fifth place from fourth. Aman Chetry has moved to sixth position from fifth. Tushar Saha is still in seventh place. Nishchay Sharma has jumped to the eighth position. Akash Chetri has moved to ninth place from eighth. All these bowlers have picked six wickets each. Tushar has the best economy among this lot and has bowled at an economy of 5.88.

Hrishikesh Deka has slipped to 10th position from ninth. He has picked five wickets so far in five matches at an average of 8.4, a strike rate of 13.20 and an economy of 3.82. He is one of the two bowlers who have taken a five-wicket haul this season.
