Andhra Premier League 2024: Top run-getters and wicket-takers after Rayalaseema Kings and Godavari Titans (Updated) ft. Shaik Rasheed and K Sudharsan

On Wednesday, July 3, Coastal Riders and Bezawada Tigers squared off in the sixth match of Andhra Premier League 2024. Godavari Titans and Rayalaseema Kings locked horns in the seventh encounter on the same day.

Bezawada Tigers opted to bowl first and restricted the Riders to 170/6. Riders’ captain Shaik Rasheed scored a 47-ball 67 and Abhishek Reddy contributed 35 runs off 22 balls. Kavuri Saiteja took two wickets for the Tigers while Harishankar Reddy, Shambu Akhil, and Lalith Mohan picked up one each.

In reply, Dhruva Kumar Reddy provided a fine start, scoring 45 off 29. Important contributions from skipper Ricky Bhui (34) and Pyla Avinash (42) brought their side in a commanding position. However, the middle and lower order faltered as the team fell short by eight runs.

Cheepurapalli Stephen, Yarragunta Pramod, and Karthik Raman claimed two wickets each for the Coastal Riders.

In the second game, Godavari Titans batted first and posted a 175/7 in their 20 overs. Mamidi Vamsi Krishna was the top-scorer with 57 runs, followed by KV Sasikanth (36), SDNV Prasad (21), and CR Gnaneshwar (20). Girinath Reddy, the Kings' captain, and Penmetsa Satya Raju picked up two wickets each while Mohammad Rafi and Shaik Kamaruddin took one apiece.

In reply, DB Prasanth Kumar’s 49, Gutta Rohit’s 39, and a match-winning knock from P Roshan Kumar (70*) helped them achieve the total in 18.3 overs.

Coastal Riders skipper Shaik Rasheed occupies the top spot, scoring 167 runs in three innings with two half-centuries, including one in the previous game.

Rayalseema Kings' P Roshan Kumar moved from the fourth to second spot, having scored 133 runs in three games while Srikar Bharat (93) descended from second to third with a high score of 47.

D Prasanth Kumar and Ashwin Hebbar occupy the next two spots with 92 and 91 runs, respectively.

Kodavandla Sudharsan retained his first position in the most wickets list with six wickets in two games.

Bandaru Ayyappa occupies the second position with five wickets. His teammates Yarra Prithviraj and Kaldhi Ajay Kumar hold the following two spots with four wickets each.

KV Sasikanth, Karthik Raman, and Penmetsa Satya Raju are ranked fifth, sixth, and seventh, respectively, with four wickets apiece.
