Fans online reacted as Ishan Kishan didn't find a place in Team India's squad for their upcoming three-match home T20I series against Bangladesh. The keeper-batter has been absent from the national team since leaving the 2023 South Africa tour midway citing mental fatigue.

Kishan was last seen in action during the Duleep Trophy 2024. The southpaw impressed many with a stunning 111-run knock against India B. He finished with 134 runs across four innings at an average of 33.50.

The 26-year-old has featured in 32 T20Is so far and has scored 796 runs at an average of 25.67. With Rishabh Pant rested for the Bangladesh series, the selectors gave the nod to Sanju Samson and Jitesh Sharma over Kishan for the keeper-batter's role.

Many fans took to social media following the announcement of the squad, reacting to Kishan's absence. Here are some of the top reactions:

Many fans suggested that Kishan deserved another chance at the international level after his impressive knocks in the Buchi Babu Cricket Tournament and Duleep Trophy.

"Despite scoring 2 centuries in domestic cricket, Ishan Kishan not getting a place in Team India is completely wrong. Agree or not?" commented a fan
"Ishan kishan is a better choice than Sanju Samson." wrote another
"If Sanju can get chance playing some good games after failing continuously then why not Ishan? Ishan always tried to give his best in most of the opportunities he got and tried to make his place in the team still he's getting ignored like this?" chimed in yet another

It is worth mentioning Kishan registered two half-centuries across three fixtures against Australia in his last T20I series.
