Bangladesh faced the Netherlands in the 27th match of the 2024 T20 World Cup on Thursday, June 13, at the Arnos Vale Ground in Kingstown, St Vincent. The Netherlands won the toss and elected to bowl.

Bangladesh lost their first two wickets for just 23 runs. Shakib Al Hasan and Tanzid Hasan added 48 runs for the third wicket. Shakib remained unbeaten on 64 runs off 46 deliveries. His innings helped Bangladesh post a total of 159 runs for the loss of five wickets in 20 overs. Aryan Dutt and Paul van Meekeren took two wickets each.

The Netherlands lost two wickets in the powerplay and made 36 runs. They went on to score 75 runs in the next nine overs and required 49 runs in the last five overs to win. However, they managed just 23 and lost three wickets.

The Netherlands lost the match by 25 runs and finished with 134 for the loss of eight wickets in 20 overs. Only Sybrand Engelbrecht scored more than 30 runs for the Netherlands. Rishad Hossain was the pick of the bowlers and took three wickets for 33 runs in four overs. Shakib won the Player of the Match award.

David Warner is in third place and has made 115 runs in three innings at a strike rate of 153.33. Ibrahim Zadran is still in the fourth position and has amassed 114 runs in two innings at an average of 57.

Andries Gous is in fifth place and has made 102 runs in three games at an average of 34. Gerhard Erasmus is in the sixth spot and has scored 101 runs in three innings at a strike rate of 112.22.

Nicholas Kirton is still in seventh position and has 101 runs to his name in three games at an average of 33.66. Marcus Stoinis is eighth and has amassed 97 runs in two matches at a strike rate of 183.01.

Rishabh Pant is in the ninth spot and has 96 runs to his name in three outings with an average of 48. David Miller is in 10th position and has amassed 94 runs in three outings at a strike rate of 98.94.
