Chahal has 121 wickets to his credit in the one-day format at an average of 27.13, with two five-fers. In T20Is, he has 96 scalps at a strike rate of 18.3, with a best of 6-25.

Chahal is Team India's leading wicket-taker in the T20I format. Seasoned pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar is the only other Indian bowler with 90 or more wickets in the format, while Jasprit Bumrah has claimed 89 scalps from 70 matches and all-rounder Hardik Pandya 84 from 100 games.
