IPL 2018, MI vs SRH: 5 players to watch out for in the match

The 23rd match of the IPL 2018 will feature those two teams who both have won the trophy in the very recent years.

The defending champions Mumbai Indians will be up against Sunrisers Hyderabad who won the title in 2016.

Both teams will try all the cards under their sleeves to emerge out as victorious in this match for sure.

Here, we will look at those five players whose performances are most likely to decide the fortunes of their respective teams in this clash.

#1 Suryakumar Yadav

Suryakumar Yadav has been in a sublime form since the very beginning of this season. He is looking totally different from what we saw in the previous season(playing for KKR).

Compared to a total of 105 runs he aggregated in IPL 2017, he has already gone past this number, that too in half no. of matches.

Having compiled 196 runs from five innings with an impressive strike rate of 140, he is definitely among the players to watch out for in today's game.

#2 Rohit Sharma

Being one of the finest batsmen in the limited overs format, Rohit Sharma has not done justice to his name at least for now(apart from the knock of 94 against RCB).

His team needs more from him given his reputation. His batting performance is going to be the key factor in deciding his team's fortunes in this match.

Having placed at No.7 in the points table, it's high time to show Sharma's magic and being skipper, nobody would know this better than him.

Given his track record and capabilities, fans are expecting a quality performance from him in this match and he would also be very determined to deliver the same.

#3 Jasprit Bumrah

He was instrumental for Mumbai Indians in winning the title previous year and has done somewhat the same for his side this year too till now.

In the match against Rajasthan Royals, it was him who turned the match around by taking quick wickets of Samson and Buttler.

He has seven scalps against his name so far from five matches with an impressive economy of 7.6 runs per over.

MI fans will be eager to see another quality performance from him in today's match.

#4 Kane Williamson

Along with Shikhar Dhawan, he is regarded as the backbone of the batting line-up of Sunrisers Hyderabad.

In the absence of David Warner, he is carrying the extra responsibility of captaining his side this year and SRH's standings in the points table tell us that he is doing fine in this too.

Having amassed a total of 230 runs with an average of 57.50, he is gonna be the crucial factor for SRH today.

Not to forget the fact that Williamson has scored three consecutive fifties in his last three outings.

#5 Rashid Khan

Rashid Khan has yet to repeat what he had done for his franchise in the last year. He made his debut in the IPL last year and got 17 wickets from 14 matches at an average of 21.05.

He was also very economical conceding just 6.62 runs per over. But his bowling figures in this season so far are nowhere near to his previous season's performance. Khan has four wickets from five matches averaging at 42.75, almost double compared to the last season.

The Afghan spinner has also gone for runs which is very unlikely for him. But it's only a matter of time till he returns in form. If he does so, MI batsmen are going to have a tough time facing his deliveries.
