Max60 Caribbean 2024: Full schedule, squads, match timings, and live-streaming details

Cayman Islands Cricket Association (CICA) has announced the first edition of the Max60 Caribbean League 2024 that will start on Sunday, August 18, and run till Sunday, August 25, 2024. The Jimmy Powell Oval Cricket Stadium in George Town, Grand Cayman, will be the host venue.

The upcoming league is a new T10 format-based franchise league comprising five teams: Boca Raton Trailblazers, Caribbean Tigers, Grand Cayman Jaguars, Miami Lions, and New York Strikers.

The teams include several retired veteran cricketers known for their expertise in short formats, along with a mix of domestic and local talents.

Notable international players like David Warner, Sunil Narine, Sikandar Raza, Dwayne Bravo, and Shoaib Malik are set to compete in the T10 tournament. Among the ex-Indian star players are Robin Uthappa and Ambati Rayudu, while the English contingent features Alex Hales and Ravi Bopara.

The five teams will compete for the maiden Max60 2024 title across 24 T10 matches for 90 minutes each, emphasizing the quick-paced nature of the format.

The powerplay consists of three overs, with only two fielders allowed outside the 30-yard circle in the first two overs. The batting team can choose to take the third over of the powerplay at any point between the third and ninth overs. After the 20 league-stage matches, the top three teams will advance to the Super Three stage. This stage includes three matches, culminating in the final on August 25, 2024.
