Maharaja Trophy T20 2024 is set to take place from August 15 to September 1 at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. The Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA)-organized tournament returns for its third season.

Six teams - Gulbarga Mystics, Mysuru Warriors, Bengaluru Blasters, Shivamogga Lions, Mangalore Dragons and Hubli Tigers will be participating in the competition. A total of 30 games are scheduled to be played in the league stage, followed by the two semi-finals and a final.

The finale of the last season witnessed the Manish Pandey-led Hubli Tigers win by 8 runs against the Karun Nair-led Mysuru Warriors. Batting first, Tigers posted 203 on the board, on the back of Mohammed Taha’s 72-run knock. In response, Ravikumar Samarth did well with his impressive innings of 63 off 35, but Warriors could only finish on 195/8. In fact, Taha received the Player of the Tournament award for his run tally of 448 runs at a strike-rate of 173.64.

Last month saw the auction taking place at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. The keeper-batter L. R. Chethan emerged as the most expensive player, as he was procured by the Blasters for ₹8.6 lakh. The veteran players, Shreyas Gopal (₹7.60 lakh, Dragons), K. Gowtham (₹7.4 lakh, Warriors) also received a handsome amount in the auction.

The tournament will kickoff with a clash between Gulbarga Mystics and Bengaluru Blasters on Thursday, August 15 at 3PM IST. Then, the following encounter on the same day will witness Shivamogga Lions square off with Mysuru Warriors.

Maharaja Trophy T20 ticketing details: How to buy tickets?

As per the Paytm Insider website, there are five different categories of tickets which have been sold for the Maharaj Trophy T20 2024. The price ranges are ₹150, ₹200, ₹300, ₹490 and ₹700 and they are distributed between six stands. The most expensive ticket is for the P Corporate stand of the stadium, where the fans are likely to have facilities of food and beverages.

Interestingly, the tickets bought will be valid for both matches of that day, which makes it quite worth it for the cricket fans wishing to witness the top Karnataka players in action.
