Oval Invincibles justified their name by winning the Men's Hundred for the second season in a row. England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) launched its unique league named The Hundred in 2021, with eight teams competing in a 100-ball per-side tournament.

Southern Brave won the inaugural edition of the Men's Hundred, while the second season saw Trent Rockets lift the trophy for the first time. In 2023, the Oval Invincibles became the new champions before successfully defending the title in 2024.

With the back-to-back championship wins, Oval Invincibles have become the first team in Men's Hundred history to win the trophy twice. Interestingly, Oval Invincibles also were the first to capture the Women's Hundred title twice, having won the championships in 2021 and 2022.

Speaking of the teams to have won two titles for the first time in The Hundred, here's a list of other prominent T20 leagues, and the team that lifted the trophy twice for the first time in those tournaments.

#1 IPL - Chennai Super Kings

IPL is the number one T20 league in the world right now. BCCI launched the Indian Premier League in 2008, and the first two seasons had different champions - Rajasthan Royals and Deccan Chargers.

In 2010, Chennai Super Kings captured their maiden title by defeating Mumbai Indians in the final. A year later, MS Dhoni's CSK team successfully defended the trophy with a win against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the summit clash.

#2 BBL - Perth Scorchers

Like the IPL, Australia's Big Bash League witnessed new champions in its first two seasons, and then in seasons three and four, the same team won the trophy. Sydney Sixers won the inaugural BBL in 2011/12, followed by Brisbane Heat in 2012/13.

Perth Scorchers finished as runners-up in the first two BBL seasons. They finally ended their trophy drought by defeating Hobart Hurricanes in the 2013/14 season's final. A year later, the Scorchers overcame a challenge from the Sixers in the finals to become the first team to win the BBL twice.

#3 SA20 - Sunrisers Eastern Cape

Cricket South Africa (CSA) launched its own T20 tournament in 2023. Only two seasons of the SA20 tournament have been played thus far, and in both tournaments, Sunrisers Eastern Cape have taken the trophy home.

In the inaugural season's summit clash, the Sunrisers defeated Pretoria Capitals to become the champions. Earlier this year, the Sunrisers retained the trophy with a win against Durban's Super Giants in the final.

#4 LPL - Jaffna franchise

Lanka Premier League started in the year 2020, with Jaffna Stallions winning the inaugural season by defeating Galle Gladiators in the final. Soon after their title win, the owners of the Jaffna franchise changed, and the new owners renamed the team as Jaffna Kings.

The change in ownership and team name did not affect the team's performance as Jaffna Kings won the LPL in 2021. This time as well, they beat the Galle Gladiators in the final.

#5 PSL - Quetta Gladiators

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) initiated the Pakistan Super League (PSL) in 2016. Quetta Gladiators won the inaugural season with a victory over Peshawar Zalmi in the final.

However, Peshawar won the next edition in 2017, while Islamabad United won the third season. Quetta finally regained the trophy in 2019 and became the first team to win the PSL twice.
