India Women booked their place in the 2024 Women's Asia Cup final by hammering Bangladesh Women by 10 wickets in the first semifinal. Asked to bowl first after losing the toss, the Women in Blue held Bangladesh to 80-8 in their 20 overs. Renuka Singh (3-10) and Radha Yadav (3-14) starred with the ball for India. Smriti Mandhana then slammed 55* off 39 as the target was chased in 11 overs.

Sri Lanka staved off some stiff resistance from Pakistan in the second semifinal to book their place in the final. Bowling first, the Lankans restricted Pakistan to 140-4. Pakistan kept chipping away at the wickets with the ball, but Chamari Athapaththu (63 off 48) and Anushka Sanjeewani (24* off 22) lifted Sri Lanka to victory by three wickets, with one ball to spare.
