Team India beat Bangladesh by a whopping 86 runs in the second T20I at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Wednesday, October 9. With the win, the Men in Blue took an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series.

After Najmul Hossain Shanto won the toss and elected to bat first, India lost three quick wickets within the powerplay. However, the rest of the home side's batters stepped up and took them to 221/9, a score they defended comfortably with all of the bowlers chipping in.

On that note, here are India's player ratings from the second T20I against Bangladesh.

IND vs BAN 2024, 2nd T20I: Nitish & Rinku partnership revives India

Abhishek Sharma: 6.5/10

Abhishek looked to be aggressive right from the outset but played one shot too many against the wily Tanzim Hasan Sakib. He needs to strike the right balance between attack and defense. The left-arm spinner bowled two good overs and picked up a wicket.

Sanju Samson: 4/10

The pace of the wicket deceived Samson, who got off to a start but failed to capitalize. Chances like this won't come by too often for the keeper-batter.

Suryakumar Yadav: 5/10

Like Samson, Suryakumar was deceived by a slower ball that stopped in the wicket. He was impressive with his bowling changes in the second innings.

Nitish Kumar Reddy: 9.5/10

Playing his second T20I, Nitish was the star of the show for India. He took his time to get going but soon unleashed himself on the Bangladesh bowlers, striking four fours and seven sixes in a superb knock. The pace-bowling all-rounder took the new ball and later returned to pick up two wickets.

Hardik Pandya: 9/10

Hardik played a sizzling cameo towards the end of the Indian innings and was excellent on the field as well. He wasn't required with the ball.

Riyan Parag: 8/10

Parag was strangely deployed at No. 7 once again and struck a couple of sixes before being dismissed. He had a mixed outing with the ball, bowling some in the slot to go with a no-ball, but managed to prise out one wicket.

Rinku Singh: 8.5/10

Promoted to No. 5, Rinku chipped in with an excellent half-century. He found the gaps well and attacked both pace and spin whenever he was confronted with any loose deliveries.

Washington Sundar: 8/10

Sundar found himself stranded at the non-striker's end and bowled just one over, which yielded the wicket of Shanto. He took a good catch in the deep and fielded well on the boundary.

Varun Chakaravarthy: 8/10

Chakaravarthy's four overs were once again threatening, and he picked up two important wickets. His all-phase bowling prowess is turning out to be a massive asset for the Men in Blue.

Arshdeep Singh: 6.5/10

Arshdeep, who gave India their first breakthrough, had a relatively quiet outing in Delhi. His three overs went for 26 runs. Interestingly, he helped himself to a big six off the first ball he faced.

Mayank Yadav: 7.5/10

Mayank bowled another impressive spell, trying out a number of slower balls. He went for 30 runs, largely because the square boundaries were clearly not conducive to his style of bowling.
