Rwanda is set to host the final leg of the ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup Africa Regional Qualifier, taking place from September 22 to September 29. The matches will be held at the Gahanga and IPRC Cricket Grounds in Kigali, showcasing the country’s commitment to promoting cricket at the youth level.
The tournament will feature eight teams that have been organized into two groups. Group A consists of Kenya, Namibia, Rwanda, and Uganda, while Group B includes Malawi, Nigeria, Tanzania, and Zimbabwe.
The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals, adding an element of competition and excitement to the event.
In preparation for the World Cup, fourteen teams have already secured their places, including the ten full-member nations that participated in the inaugural ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup 2023 held in South Africa.
