Trent Rockets won the 2022 edition of The Hundred under the leadership of Lewis Gregory. They finished in fifth place last season after winning three out of eight matches. The team represents the counties of Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, and Leicestershire in The Hundred competition.

They retained eight players from last season, including Rashid Khan, the only overseas player retained by the team. Rashid Khan pulled out of The Hundred tournament last year due to a back injury. He was replaced by Ish Sodhi, with Imad Wasim deputizing for the first three games.

The other seven retained players are Joe Root, Alex Hales, Lewis Gregory, Luke Wood, John Turner, Sam Hain, and Sam Cook.

The Rockets picked six players in The Hundred 2024 draft. Rovman Powell and Imad Wasim are the two overseas signings made by the team. The four other signings are Tom Banton, Calvin Harrison, Jordan Thompson, and Adam Lyth.

One of the most shocking releases made by the Rockets was that of Dawid Malan. Malan is still the leading run-scorer for the Rockets tournament. He has scored 619 runs in 21 innings at a strike rate of 142.63. Tom Kohler-Cadmore and Colin Munro who are among the top five run-scorers, have also been released. Malan will play for Oval Invincibles, while Kohler-Cadmore has been picked by Welsh Fire. Munro didn’t find a team during the draft.

Alex Hales, the second-highest run-scorer for the Rockets has been retained and will lead the batting attack. Gregory will captain the side once again. He has made 265 runs in 19 innings at a strike rate of 146.41. Gregory has picked eight wickets as well at an average of 37.25.
