The Philadelphians have a relatively strong squad for the Minor League Cricket 2024. Liam Plunkett is their star player, having played international cricket for England. Plunkett was also a part of the English men’s team that won the 2019 World Cup on home soil.

Plunkett made his T20 debut back in 2003 and has been a reliable player in the format. In 163 T20 matches in his career, Plunkett has picked up 151 wickets at an economy rate of 8.12 with a four-wicket haul and a five-wicket haul to show for his efforts.

Liam Plunkett is also someone who could use the willow to good effect. He also played for the San Francisco Unicorns in the Major League Cricket 2024. Back in 2021, he quit English cricket and moved to the United States. The 39-year-old will now be looking to put his best foot forward in Minor League Cricket.

Jaladh Dua’s role in his team is also going to hold a lot of importance. In 36 matches in Minor League Cricket, he has scored 579 runs at an average of 18.09 and a strike rate of 100 with a top score of 55 to his name.

Abdul Jabbar, Juanoy Drysdale, Ryan Scott, Tahaa Warraich, Nitish Mahesh, and Soripul Islam are some of the other important players in The Philadelphians squad for the new season.

The Philadelphians are placed in the East Zone along with Manhattan Yorkers, New England Eagles, New Jersey Somerset Cavaliers, New Jersey Stallions, and New York City Titans.

They started their campaign on Saturday, August 31, against New England Eagles with an 82-run win at the Mercer County Park No. 4 in New Jersey.
