After winning Abu Dhabi T10 2023, the New York Strikers are set to embark on a fresh adventure in the upcoming Max60 Caribbean 2024. The squad features numerous former as well as active international stars, including the likes of Mark Chapman.

As the Strikers gear up for the inaugural edition of the Cayman cricket-backed Max60 Caribbean, we skim through the list of players at their disposal.

Sri Lanka’s 2014 T20 World Cup-winning all-rounder Thisara Perera will start as one of the senior members of the New York Strikers. He will be joined by fellow Sri Lankan white-ball stars Isuru Udana and Angelo Perera. The T10 franchise also roped in fellow West Indies all-rounder Carlos Brathwaite, attacking opener Kennar Lewis and fast bowler Jayden Seales.

Former English batter Jonathan Trott, who recently served the Afghanistan cricket team as head coach, is set to bring loads of additional experience to the table for the Strikers as a player. New Zealand stars Mark Chapman and Chad Bowes, along with Australia’s 2021 T20 World Cup-winning spinner Mitchell Swepson, will constitute the Strikers’ Antipodean members.

The squad included Sunil Narine and Ambati Rayudu, who have been replaced by Colin Munro and Chandrapaul Hemraj, respectively. Munro is coming on the back of a decent season with the Toronto Nationals in the Global T20 Canada 2024. He amassed 123 runs from seven innings at a strike rate of 132.25.

Chandrapul Hemraj returns after a long break since November 2023. Both these players are great additions to a powerful batting line-up.
