Lone Star Athletics are set to embark on a fresh Minor League Cricket adventure through the 2024 season in the United States of America. After failing to qualify for the final despite finishing at number three on the Central Division points table last year, the Athletics team management made several changes to their line-up for the 2024 event.
The Lone Star Athletics have signed in-form USA opener Smit Patel, who recently made his international debut and is currently averaging 43.50 in ODIs. Moreover, the right-handed wicketkeeper-batter has also proven himself to be an effective commodity in T20s, having tallied nearly 800 runs so far in 30 innings with an average of 28.81.
Imran Khan Jr and Awais Zia also found a place in the Lone Star Athletics batch of 2024 alongside Karan Patel and Naqash Basharat. USA Under-19 star and right-arm fast bowler Aarin Nadkarni is included in the team’s 15-player set.

The Minor League Cricket 2024 launched on Friday, August 30, with two matches in New Jersey and Morgan Hill. The Lone Star Athletics will play their first match of the league on Sunday, September 1, by going up against Dallas Mustangs at the Moosa Cricket Stadium in Texas.
