The Evoke Super 20 Cup is a domestic T20 competition in Ireland. This tournament was launched in 2015 to give young players in the country an opportunity to showcase their talents. The 2024 edition will be played from June 16 to July 14 where a total of nine matches will be played.
A total of three teams, namely, the Dragons Women, the Scorchers Women and the Typhoons Women, will be competing in the 10th edition of the Evoke Super 20 Cup. The Scorchers Women are the defending champions, having lifted their seventh title last year.
The Scorchers Women will start their title defense under the leadership of Leah Paul. They have a well-balanced squad and will face the Dragons Women in the opening match of the Evoke Super 20 Cup 2024. The Dragons Women will be led by Amy Hunter.
The Typhoons Women are the third team in the competition. Rebecca Stokell will be leading the Typhoons Women. She has plenty of experience and will play a key role for the Typhoons Women.
The opening day will see a total of two games being played. The opening match will see the Dragons Women lock horns with the Scorchers Women. The second game will be played between the Dragons Women and the Scorchers Women. Both games will be played at Wallace Park in Lisburn.
All three teams are well-balanced units and fans can expect closely fought contests in the upcoming edition of the Evoke Super 20 Cup. Ever since the launch of this tournament, we have seen an increase in the level of competition among players and it is a big step taken to grow the sport in the country.
