Travis Head was the hero for the Hyderabad-based franchise once again. The southpaw smacked a 32-ball 89 at the top of the order to set up the victory for SRH. All-rounder Shahbaz Ahmed also chipped in with a crucial half-century to push the team total past 250.

They set a new record for the highest team total in the powerplay phase of a T20 game by scoring 125 in 36 balls. Abhishek Sharma departed after a 12-ball 46, while Travis Head aggregated 89 off 32.

Heinrich Klaasen could not score big, but Shahbaz Ahmed stepped up and scored an unbeaten 29-ball 59. Kuldeep Yadav was the pick of the bowlers for the Capitals with figures of 4/55 in four overs.
