It is a double-header this Saturday (October 12) in the ongoing ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2024 and the evening match will see Bangladesh take on South Africa. This clash will be played at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

This will be the fourth match for both the sides. However, unlike South Africa, Bangladesh are almost out of the tournament. The Nigar Sultana-led side kicked off their campaign with a win over Scotland. However, they have gone downhill since then, losing to England and West Indies consecutively.

South Africa, meanwhile, have been ruthless in their wins. While they were upstaged by England as well, the Proteas look solid going into this match. Ahead of the BAN W vs SA W clash, here's a look at the head-to-head record between the two teams.

The two teams last played a WT20I when Bangladesh toured South Africa late in 2023. After winning the first T20I, Bangladesh saw the second one get washed out. However, the hosts salvaged the series with a eight-wicket win in Kimberley.

Bangladesh had a horror show with the bat, getting restricted to just 94/6, with Lata Mondal taking 62 balls for her 42. In reply, Laura Wolvaardt's 49* helped the Proteas chase down the total with 28 balls to spare.
