GT20 Canada Final will begin shortly at the CAA Centre in Brampton. Montreal Tigers will lock horns with the Toronto Nationals in the summit clash of this year's GT20 Canada tournament.

Toronto Nationals finished fourth in the GT20 Canada 2024 points table with seven points from seven matches. The Nationals won only three matches, but they sneaked into the playoffs, where they got a walkover against the Bangla Tigers Mississauga in the Eliminator.

In the Qualifier 2 match, the Nationals beat home team Brampton Wolves by five wickets to punch their ticket to the final. Meanwhile, the Montreal Tigers topped the standings with 10 points from seven matches. Their Qualifier 1 match against Brampton was abandoned due to rain. The Tigers advanced to the final because of their higher position in the points table.

The Montreal Tigers vs Toronto Nationals GT20 Canada Final match was scheduled to begin at 9.30 pm IST. However, rain has delayed the start of the game at the CAA Centre. Before the match gets underway, here's a quick look at three players who could define this game.

#1 Dilpreet Bajwa has an average of 68.66 in GT20 Canada 2024

Canadian batter Dilpreet Bajwa has been the standout performer for the Montreal Tigers in this competition. Bajwa has aggregated 206 runs in six innings at a phenomenal average of 68.66.

Ahead of the final, Bajwa stands second on the batters' leaderboard, with only Brampton Wolves batter George Munsey having more runs than him. If Bajwa scores 13 runs in today's game, he will become the highest run-getter in the tournament.

Bajwa scored 12 runs in the previous encounter between Toronto and Montreal. It will be interesting to see how he performs in today's big game.

#2 Azmatullah Omarzai destroyed Toronto Nationals in the league stage

When Montreal Tigers locked horns with Toronto Nationals in the league stage, the Tigers bowled their opponents out for just 55 runs. Afghanistan all-rounder Azmatullah Omarzai was the top performer with the ball for the Tigers as he returned with figures of 3/22 in four overs.

Omarzai opened the bowling for the Tigers and dismissed opposition captain Colin Munro on the third ball itself. On the next ball, he got rid of Andries Gous, followed by the wicket of Nicholas Kirton in the fifth over. If Omarzai replicates that performance, the Tigers should win today's GT20 Canada Final.

#3 Junaid Siddiqui will hold the key to success for Toronto Nationals

UAE fast bowler Junaid Siddiqui has been the top wicket-taker in GT20 Canada 2024 so far. He has bagged 13 wickets in seven innings at an average of 13.84. During the league stage match against Montreal Tigers, Siddiqui bowled a tidy spell of 1/4 in two overs, dismissing Parveen Kumar.

Siddiqui will aim to bring his best to the table in today's summit clash. He was quite expensive in the Qualifier 2 match against Brampton Wolves, where he leaked 46 runs. Toronto fans will hope for a better performance from their top pacer today.
