Has Will Rogers ever played Alex Orji?

This is the first time Will Rogers and Alex Orji will play against each other. Rogers is in his fifth college football season but first at Washington. He played four years at Mississippi State before transferring to the Huskies. Orji, meanwhile, is in his third college season, all with Michigan.

Will Rogers stats

This season, Will Rogers has gone 110-for-147 for 1,354 yards and 10 touchdowns while throwing zero interceptions.

Rogers has been smart with the football this season, which Michigan coach Sherrone Moore says can give them problems.

"I mean, they're just a really good football team. Start with the quarterback, Rogers. He's played a lot of football. Hasn't thrown any interceptions, doesn't turn it over. Got a great arm and can make all the throws. The offenses is really good," Moore said, via Rivals.

Rogers isn't a runner as he is more of a pocket passer. In his college career, Rogers has thrown for 13,669 yards, 104 touchdowns and 28 interceptions.

Alex Orji stats

Alex Orji has taken over as Michigan's starting quarterback for the past two weeks. However, Orji has struggled mightily as a passer and is more of a runner.

This season, Orji has gone 20-for-36 for 133 yards, three touchdowns and one interception. But, he has rushed for 113 yards on 32 carries.

Despite not being much of a passer, Moore has been impressed with Orji's improvements.

"Did a good job of taking care of the ball even in situations where he's got some pressure. He stepped up in the pocket a little better. He went through his progressions better in the passing game and, you know, we'll do some more things to use his weapons and use him in the offense. But overall had a great command and skill set in the offense," Moore said.

In his college career, Orji has gone 21-for-37 for 138 yards while rushing for 236 yards and three touchdowns on 53 carries.

Are Will Rogers and Alex Orji expected to play in the NFL?

Neither Will Rogers nor Alex Orji are expected to be NFL quarterbacks. Neither are expected to be drafted, but Rogers does have a better chance to sign a UDFA deal and try to earn a roster spot that way.
