DJ Uiagalelei produced an elite collegiate football season with the Oregon State Beavers in 2023. The St. John Bosco product posted a stat line of 2,638 passing yards, 21 touchdowns and seven interceptions. He guided the program to an 8–5 record. However, more was needed to convince Uiagalelei to run it back with the Beavers.

DJ Uiagalelei joins his third collegiate team

DJ Uiagalelei was a highly sought-after QB prospect in the transfer portal but decided to take his talents to Florida State University. He joins the Seminoles as a like-for-like replacement for Jordan Travis, who has since entered the NFL.

This move means that Uiagalelei would have represented Clemson, Oregon State, and potentially Florida State during his college career.

Uiagalelei will be the undisputed starter at FSU, joining a program renowned for producing NFL-caliber talent. He'll be coached by Mike Norvell.

Will DJ Uiagalelei enter the 2025 NFL Draft?

DJ Uiagalelei enters his fifth and potentially final season of collegiate football in 2024. The Florida State Seminoles graduate transfer will likely enter the 2025 NFL draft. However, whether Uiagalelei will be a sought-after prospect in next year's draft, remains to be seen.

The newly added FSU QB still has some questions to answer regarding his decision-making and consistency. He relies on his arm strength at the collegiate level, but such a one-dimensional approach might not be the recipe for success in the NFL.

Uiagalelei's size and agility are valuable attributes, but it needs to be seen how those qualities translate to the next level. The upcoming college football season will be critical for his draft chances, as NFL scouts will be watching closely. Uiagalelei is expected to be drafted late in the second or early in the third round next year.
