Week 2 of college football is right around the corner, and "College GameDay" is ready for it. The acclaimed ESPN show will be heading to Ann Arbor in Week 2 to cover the highly anticipated clash between the Michigan Wolverines and Texas Longhorns. Accompanying the show as a celebrity guest will be someone who knows a lot about winning and about Michigan: Multiple-time Olympic swimming champion Michael Phelps.

Phelps holds the record for the most ever Olympic medals with 28 (23 gold, three silver and two bronze). He also has the most gold in the history of the games and has won the most medals in a single edition of the games.

Furthermore, he achieved that last feat twice, with eight gold medals in Beijing 2008, and six gold and two bronze medals in Athens 2004. Michael Phelps also trained for four years, between 2004 and 2008, at the University of Michigan under coach Bob Bowman. Although he did attend classes at the school, he never pursued any degree.

Will Ferrell will also be on College GameDay for Week 2

The sheer amount of celebrities traveling to Ann Arbor for Texas versus Michigan demonstrates just how important this game is. ESPN's "College GameDay" will not only have on set possibly the greatest athlete that has ever lived, but they will also have perhaps one of the funniest people too.

Former Saturday Night Live star Will Ferrell will also join the "College GameDay" cast during the Week 2 encounter between the SEC and Big Ten.

Fox Sports' rival show, "Big Noon Kickoff", will also be in town. Fox Sports is determined not to be left behind when it comes to celebrity guests. They're bringing their own lineup of big celebrities, headlined by former New York Yankees captain and MLB Hall of Famer Derek Jeter and Texas movie star Matthew McConaughey. Jeter will be an honorary captain for the game.

The clash between the Wolverines and Longhorns is set to begin at noon ET and will be available on Fox Sports.
