The Washington Huskies (7-0, 4-0 Pac-12) continue their chase of a seed in the College Football Playoff as they travel to Santa Clara, California, to face the Stanford Cardinal (2-5, 1-4 Pac-12). The Huskies, under 2023 Heisman Trophy favorite quarterback Michael Penix Jr., are currently No. 5 in the AP Poll Top 25.

The highlight of the Huskies season was a last-minute victory over another college football contender: the Oregon Ducks. With 1:38 left in the clock, Penix threw a touchdown pass that set the final score to 36-33.

For their part, the Cardinal are having a terrible season at 2-5. They are unlikely to threaten a national title candidate like the Huskies. The highlight of their season came in Week 7, with a 46-43 comeback victory over the Colorado Buffaloes on the road.
