Terrion Arnold was back in Tuscaloosa to support the Alabama Crimson Tide for their Week 1 game against Western Kentucky on Saturday. His former team begins its first campaign in 17 years without Nick Saban on the sidelines.

The Detroit Lions picked Arnold in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft and he is ready to kick off his pro career against the Los Angeles Rams next week. However, that didn't stop the former Crimson Tide cornerback from coming and supporting his alma mater at the Bryant-Denny Stadium.

Arnold posted a story on Instagram, enjoying the exhilarating atmosphere around him and cheering on the Alabama fans. He said:

The Crimson Tide played in their first game under new coach Kalen DeBoer. It's safe to say they're off to a great start in the post-Saban world as they stormed to a 63-0 win.

Jalen Milroe starts Alabama scoring in post-Saban era

Eras come to an end, and that’s what happened for Alabama football when Nick Saban announced his retirement in January. However, some things remain comfortingly familiar—like Jalen Milroe lighting up the scoreboard.

The quarterback kicked off the Kalen DeBoer era with a bang, rushing for a 12-yard touchdown to give the Crimson Tide an early 7-0 lead over the Hilltoppers. A clutch interception from Keon Sabb set up Milroe’s rushing touchdown.

Milroe didn't stop there. He added two more touchdowns through the air. First, he connected with Kendrick Law on a 22-yard strike, threading the needle on 3rd and 6.

Then, the 21-year-old launched a deep ball to five-star freshman Ryan Williams for an 84-yard touchdown.

As Milroe led the Crimson Tide's charge with DeBoer calling the shots from the sidelines, former coach Nick Saban watched from the stands. After finishing his duties on ESPN’s “College GameDay,” Saban returned to Tuscaloosa just in time to witness the Tide’s dominant season opener.
