Ole Miss Rebels quarterback Jaxson Dart was the happiest man in the world after he defeated Penn State in a 38-25 game in the 2023 Peach Bowl. However, the happiness could have turned into a tense moment if the QB had mistakenly slipped the trophy from his hand.

The SEC Network recently posted a video of Dart conversing with his teammates before trying to lift the Paech Bowl trophy. But as he starts to do that, the shiny pigskin ornament at the top almost falls on the ground before getting caught by another Ole Miss player.

Jaxson Dart is healthy and ready for upcoming CFB season

The Ole Miss Rebels' third-year QB attended training classes at the Manning Passing Academy. While talking to reporters, he expressed that he is optimistic and ready for the upcoming season after a previous year that was "pretty brutal."

Dart's playing style is described as someone who uses his legs as well as shoulders while swinging the football. Because of this, he takes some hard-hitting blows. This caused him to undergo an off-season procedure on his lower body. However, the QB is feeling healthy, as per Mississippi Clarion Ledger's David Eckert:

"It definitely took some time," Dart said, "but I feel the best that I've felt since the season and to be able to run and do everything that I used to. Happy to be able to get back into it, and it definitely gives you a lot better mental clarity of where you are and also just having a lot more fun being out there."

Dart also revealed that he has been taking part in offseason conditioning and lifting more weights with his teammates:

"We're in a really good spot right now as a team. Really like the energy that we bring every single day. It's a very positive atmosphere, so I'm really happy with where we're at," he added.

Jaxson Dart started 26 games over the last two seasons with the Rebels and has thrown for 6,338 yards for 43 touchdowns and 16 interceptions, with a further 1,003 rushing yards and nine touchdowns since 2022. His stats and strength have made him a preseason Heisman Trophy candidate as well.
