ESPN analysts predict Lane Kiffin's Ole Miss to reach playoff

The buzz around Lane Kiffin's Ole Miss is electrifying as the 2024 college football season nears. ESPN analysts Rece Davis and Pete Thamel are high on the Rebels, predicting a playoff berth for the team this season.

"I'm just gonna go ahead and say it, man. I think Ole Miss is in the playoff," Davis confidently said.
"Give Ole Miss credit as a program and as an athletic department," Thamel said. "They saw NIL as an equalizer to get them out of what they have been historically in the bottom half of SEC teams."[21:00]

Last season's impressive 11-2 record and Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl victory, coupled with an impressive transfer class, have experts bullish on the Rebels. Thamel praised Ole Miss for leveraging NIL deals to climb from the SEC's lower ranks, appreciating their aggressive approach. However, the Rebels face the challenge of managing preseason hype, a crucial task for Kiffin's squad.

A key concern is their offensive line, which saw significant bolstering this offseason. Ole Miss added four massive linemen from the transfer portal, including Julius Buelow and Diego Pounds, to improve their on-field presence.

With heightened expectations and strategic enhancements, Ole Miss hopes to go all the way this season.
