After a legendary collegiate career, the USC Trojans football team has announced that they will be retiring Caleb Williams' signature No. 13 jersey.

USC Football took to X with the announcement on Thursday afternoon, in a special congratulatory video that featured the likes of John Legend, Snoop Dogg, JuJu Watkins and Michael Rubin.

Williams won the 2022 Heisman Trophy, throwing for 4,537 yards and 42 touchdowns with just five interceptions. Williams added 382 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns on the ground.

Caleb Williams followed that up with 3,633 passing yards and 41 total touchdowns in 2023, establishing himself as the consensus No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Lincoln Riley brought Williams with him from Oklahoma, where he was one of the most explosive freshmen in the entire country for the Sooners. He threw for 1,912 yards and 21 touchdowns, adding 442 yards and six touchdowns on the ground.

Williams is set to make his NFL debut this Sunday with the Chicago Bears in the season opener versus the Tennessee Titans. Caleb Williams finished his career at USC regarded as one of the greatest quarterback prospects of all time.

USC retires Reggie Bush's number alongside Caleb Williams

Along with their announcement of Caleb Williams' jersey retirement, the USC football program also announced that they would be retiring Reggie Bush's No. 5 jersey.

USC Football announced the jersey retirement simultaneously with Caleb Williams' jersey retirement in a post on X.

In his time at USC, Reggie Bush developed into one of the most electric college football players of all time, winning the 2005 Heisman Trophy.

Bush recorded 433 carries for 3,169 yards and 43 total touchdowns in his time at USC, helping the team to back-to-back national titles, in 2003 and 2004. In his Heisman campaign, Reggie Bush notched 200 carries for 1,740 yards and 16 touchdowns.

Bush went on to be the No. 2 overall pick in the 2006 NFL Draft, playing 11 seasons in the league. He also won a Super Bowl with the New Orleans Saints back in 2009.
