The game between the No. 2-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes, and No. 3-ranked Oregon Ducks was a back-and-forth battle. Both teams were strong enough to win this game, so the Ducks needed Gabriel to step up to ensure victory.

And he did exactly that, throwing for 341 yards, going 23-for-34 with two touchdown passes. But he was also strong on his feet, scoring a 27-yard rushing touchdown to give the Ducks a late lead in the game.

With the victory, the Ducks' undefeated season is still alive, and the team is in a strong position to make both the Big Ten championship game and the College Football Playoffs.

Speaking after the game, Dillon Gabriel told the media:

"With these kind of games, you just find ways to win... We all knew we were getting into a dogfight. It's two heavyweights, thats what college football is about."
"I never take a day for granted and that's because I know how hard it is to do what we do and the time we put in and the grind. That's something I love and have been addicted to since the beginning. It's kind of been my way of living."

Dan Lanning praises Dillon Gabriel

Oregon Ducks coach Dan Lanning has praised the performance of Dillon Gabriel after the game, saying that he is proud of what his quarterback did.

"I can't say enough great things about Dillon... Every time I went and looked in his eyes tonight, I saw a guy that was composed, ready for his next moment. He played really, really well tonight and in some really big moments. So, proud of his performance, and I know he’d be the one to tell you he’s proud about the people that were around him that helped that performance be possible.”.

This Week 7 game had an electric, playoff type of atmosphere, where everyone needed to play their best to give their team the best chance at victory.

Dillon Gabriel did that in this game, and his teammates and Ducks fans are thankful.
