Colorado Buffaloes AD Rick George made his stand clear on Deion Sanders' leadership after Coach Prime supported a local boy who was being bullied. The incident unfolded when a father, concerned about his son's struggles with bullying at school, handed Sanders a letter at a public event. Sanders immediately took action, visiting the boy at his middle school.

Responding to a video of Sanders' visit shared on social media, George tweeted:

“This is what it is all about! Kudos to the team and @DeionSanders.”

In the team's facility, the 13-year-old boy was a part of the Buffs' morning meeting. Sanders later decided to give the boy's family $1,000 each and urged his players to donate as much as they could.

Buffaloes two-way star Travis Hunter, obeying his mentor, stepped up and offered $5,000 of his own. In a video shared by Well Off Media on YouTube, Hunter says:

"Probably like 5K, bro. You know I like to give back sometimes. But I still have to talk to the wifey first — 5K just goes missing."

Travis Hunter and his "wifey" Leanna Lenee announced their engagement in February 2024, after dating for almost two years. The two met when Hunter was still in high school and Lenee was 19 and completing her bachelor's degree from Kennesaw State University.

A young voice inspires the Colorado Buffaloes to keep pushing

While the teenager enjoyed a day watching the Colorado Buffaloes players practicing for their upcoming matchups, Deion Sanders also gave him a platform to speak to the team, where he came up with a special message for the players.

“You have a great day and work your butts off,” the boy repeated after Coach Prime, directing his message toward the players.

As the day ended, the team's kindness extended even further when several players volunteered to escort the boy back to school after practice. Leading the way were defensive tackle Chidoze Nwankwo, star quarterback Shedeur Sanders and safety Ben Finneseth. Soon, many others were eager to join.
