Kansas welcomed TCU to the Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City on Saturday in a thrilling Week 5 encounter. After starting the 2024 season on a poor note with just one win in four games, the Jayhawks were looking to outclass the Horned Frogs in the Big 12 encounter.

Lance Leipold's Kansas entered the game as a slight favorite, but the Horned Frogs had a fairly better record and held a strong chance of staging an upset.

TCU vs. Kansas Summary

It was an exciting game at the Arrowhead Stadium with TCU coming out victorious with a 38-27 scoreline. The loss added to the Jayhawks' woes. They dropped to 1-4 (0-2 Big 12), while Horned Frogs boosted its record to 3-2 (1-1 Big 12).

In an electrifying performance, Josh Hoover put on a clinic, throwing for 356 yards and three touchdowns, showcasing both his arm strength and field vision. The game took a pivotal turn in the second half when JP Richardson delivered a momentum-shifting 89-yard punt return for a go-ahead score, igniting the TCU sideline.

The Horned Frogs effectively stifled Kansas quarterback Jalon Daniels, limiting him to 15 completions on 34 attempts for 179 yards, with one touchdown and one interception. While Daniel Hishaw and Devin Neal contributed with touchdown runs, their efforts were not enough to carry the Jayhawks.
