College football analyst Rece Davis has revealed that two college football games involving top 10 teams will see an upset result in Week 8. These are the SEC showdowns between No. 1 Texas and No. 5 Georgia and No. 7 Alabama vs. No. 11 Tennessee.

On Thursday's episode of the "College GameDay Podcast," Davis put his money on the Bulldogs handing the undefeated Longhorns their first loss of the season. Even if coach Kirby Smart's team is a five-point underdog, Davis believes quarterback Carson Beck will be the key for Georgia to emerge victorious on Saturday.

"You're telling me you are looking for a Carson Beck signature game. You're waiting on this. You want him to win," Rece Davis said. "Well, you know where you're gonna see this Pete Thamel? Saturday night in Austin, Texas. Poor old Georgia. Everybody's loving Texas. In the immortal words of Larry Munson, 'Hunker down one more time!' I'm taking the Dawgs." (13:00)

This season, Beck has tallied 1,818 passing yards and 15 touchdowns for the Bulldogs. If he can perform at his full potential against Texas, who just joined the SEC this season, then Georgia has a chance to pull off a win against the No. 1-ranked team.

Rece Davis then continued to talk about the Alabama vs. Tennessee matchup. Despite the Vols being a three-point underdog, Davis puts his faith in Tennessee defeating the Crimson Tide at Neyland Stadium. He also pointed out that this game will be crucial in keeping the Volunteers' playoff hopes alive for the season.

"This is a game that Tennessee needs to win if they want to stay in the playoff picture," Davis said. "Tennessee's going to be in trouble if they lose because all they have staring at them is a game at Georgia, which will be extraordinarily difficult to win. I'm going to go Tennessee to pull out a very close game." (20:55)

Both Tennessee and Alabama are 5-1 this season. The Vols won their Week 7 contest against Florida, while the Crimson Tide emerged victorious against South Carolina after an upset loss at the hands of Vanderbilt.

Where will Rece Davis and ESPN 'College GameDay' be in Week 8?

Rece Davis and the rest of the "College GameDay" crew will be in Austin for the Texas Longhorns vs. Georgia Bulldogs Week 8 showdown. The "GameDay" show is scheduled to start at around 9 a.m. ET and will broadcast on ESPN and ESPNU.

Professional golfer and University of Texas alum Scottie Scheffler is invited as the celebrity guest picker for the Texas vs. Georgia SEC showdown. In 2015, he was named the Phil Mickelson Freshman of the Year and Big 12 Newcomer of the Year for his incredible performance.

The Texas Longhorns have been performing beyond everyone's expectations in their debut SEC season. It will be interesting to see if they can go on to win the conference title while also claiming the natty championship for the first time since 2005.
