Kevin Durant believes the Raiders will draft Shedeur Sanders

There are a lot of rumors on Shedeuer Sanders' potential landing spot in the 2025 NFL Draft. He’s been projected as the first quarterback off the board in some quarters.

However, NBA superstar Kevin Durrant believes the Las Vegas Raiders will draft the quarterback in 2025. Speaking on the “Up & Adam Show,” he cited a host of factors that are bound to play out to make that happen, including the relationship Tom Brady has built with Sanders.

“I can see that connection working,” Durant said. “Tom and Shedeur, they’ve got a relationship. I did see Mark Davis saying a little something to Shedeur at the [Las Vegas] Aces game a couple of weeks ago. Vegas is not too far from Colorado, so, you know, the Raiders might get a high pick. It’s looking like it’s lining up,”

Raiders controlling owner Mark Davis has said Tom Brady, who is a shareholder at the franchise, will play an important role in picking the team's next quarterback. This has led to many seeing the Colorado quarterback making his way to the franchise.

ESPN draft analyst has his say on whether Shedeur Sanders could be the first QB pick in 2025

There’s been a lot of debate among analysts on which quarterback will go off the board first in 2025. A good number of them have boldly suggested Shedeur Sanders. These include ESPN draft analyst Mel Kiper.

"Shedeur Sanders has had to survive," Kiper said. "I don't know any other quarterback that could, and still be out there... to keep getting back up and competing. I'm ready to put Shedeur at QB1, I really am, just because of that reason."

As it stands, there's a huge chance that Sanders will be the first quarterback to get drafted next year. However, Kiper does not see the Colorado quarterback being the first-overall pick in the draft.
