The Pac-12 conference, nicknamed the Conference of Champions, is now moving toward a new era. After the recent conference alignment, the conference is down to just two teams ahead of the 2024 college football season: Washington State and Oregon State.
The other 10 schools made their decision to join other conferences. Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado and Utah are joining the Big 12, whereas USC, UCLA, Oregon and Washington are joining the Big 10. Meanwhile, Stanford and Berkeley are departing for the ACC Conference.
Amid the unfortunate year for Pac-12, salt was added to the wound after it was revealed that the conference had officially removed the 10 departing programs from its website. Front Office Sports shared a tweet on X where it showed the conference's updated website:
"The Pac-12 has officially removed all former schools from its website," the caption read.
From being one of the notable Power 5 conferences in college football to becoming a secluded ghost town, the journey has been heartbreaking for its fans. Last year, in its final functioning season, the Washington Huskies emerged as the undefeated conference champions—leaving behind just memories for fans to reminisce in the future.

The Pac-12 conference has another hurdle to overcome to keep its relevance, amd that is to strike a deal with another conference like the Mountain West. If it fails, then we could see a possible total extinction in the near future.
