Ole Miss Rebels head coach Lane Kiffin was not happy when he saw that On3 Sports had placed his team fourth in their SEC post-spring/portal power rankings. The Rebels found themselves behind Georgia, conference newcomers Texas, and Alabama.

Kiffin expressed his disagreement with this ranking as he re-shared the post on his Instagram story with a telling caption that simply read:

"Disagree!!"

Ole Miss football played its annual spring game with a major twist. The Red and Navy teams faced off in a dunk contest, a 7-on-7, a tug-of-war, a hotdog eating game, and a Grove Bowl Gauntlet.

The Red bagged a narrow victory at 71-70. The game did not fail to provide CFB fans with ultimate entertainment and talent. Additionally, the team has been very active in the transfer portal which is possibly why Lane Kiffin did not agree to On3 Sports' post-spring SEC portal rankings.

Despite Kiffin's disappointment and disagreement with On3's SEC portal ranking, the head coach and his staff have tirelessly worked on revamping the roster. With players like Antwane Wells Jr., Princely Umanmielen, Trey Amos, and Walter Nolen, the team can potentially make it to the College Football Playoff.

SEC Network's Peter Burns spoke about the changes Kiffin has made to the roster on the show "DawgNation." (Starts at 17:36):

“It’s going to be a fascinating litmus test of how many transfers and quote-unquote ‘mercenaries’ can you have on a team,” Burns said. “That’s part of what Lane [Kiffin’s] game is right now, and that’s part of what college football is.”

Burns went so far as to say that the team is of the caliber to compete for a national championship title.

“Do I think they can compete for a national championship? Absolutely, I think they do, as long as you have Jaxson Dart and a bunch of stud players around him, you’re going to have a good opportunity and they are able to plug and play."

The SEC Network host emphasized that the Ole Miss Rebels players should be committed to playing for the team's best interest.
