The Ole Miss Rebels geared up for a promising season under coach Lane Kiffin and dropped an eye-catching set of uniforms on Monday morning for next season.

The clip unveiling the new kits featured wide receiver Tre Harris. The post unveiling the new white and teal blue uniforms was captioned with these words:

The clip showed off the new white jersey with blue stripes and a blue number, paired with white pants and white and blue helmets. Previously, Ole Miss had red numbers and stripes on their road uniforms and the new uniforms show a departure from that tradition.

The pressure is on Ole Miss to make CFP

Coach Lane Kiffin has had the heat turned up on him after recruiting the No. 1 portal class. He also managed to get returning standouts like wide receivers Ulysses Bentley IV and Tre Harris, along with quarterback Jaxson Dart, from last season's team.

The standards in Oxford have been set with the Ole Miss Rebels winning 11 games last season for the first time in the program's history. The season culminated in the team beating the Penn State Nittany Lions in the Peach Bowl to cap off a successful season.

The expectation in college football circles is for the team to make it into the expanded 12-team college football playoff bracket.

Appearing on McElroy and Cubelic in the Morning, SEC Network analyst Paul Finebaum revealed his thoughts on the Rebels potentially missing the playoffs next season.

"It'll be a failure," Finebaum said. "This is what he [Kiffin] has been building towards, this is what he has been talking about. A couple of years ago, things did not look great from an NIL standpoint. He was able to reverse that. He aced the portal -- everyone knows what he got this year. He's got one of the more experienced quarterbacks in the league and around the country.
"There's no sugarcoating it -- it would be a complete and total failure if Lane Kiffin and Ole Miss don't make the playoffs."

During the SEC Spring meetings, the coach labeled his assembled roster 'the best he has ever had'. It has seen improvements in both the offense and defense with experience from the transfer portal to back up that assertion.

Lane Kiffin is no stranger to pressure but next season seems like a win-or-bust season for the charismatic coach. He has utilized the transfer portal to great effect, and it has brought him to parity with the traditional elites in college football.
