College GameDay gave its picks for Saturday's upcoming matchup between the Colorado Buffaloes and Arizona Wildcats. On the broadcast, everyone on the panel agreed that the Buffaloes have the edge in the matchup, except Kirk Herbstreit.

Nick Saban was one of the panelists to pick Colorado, and he had this to say about picking Coach Prime and the Buffaloes to defeat Arizona:

"I'm staying with Colorado this week. I'm just backing my man."

This pick comes a week after Saban said he was no longer betting against the Buffaloes. He said:

"I'm not going against my man Deion anymore this season."

The Buffaloes did not have many believers at the start of the season. However, their success had nearly the whole panel picking them, even though they entered the game as two-point underdogs.

How likely is it for Colorado to defeat Arizona in this Week 8 matchup?

Before the game started, Arizona was a two-point favorite to win the game. BetMGM gave bettors -130 odds to Arizona as the favorite and +110 odds to the Buffaloes as the underdog. It was projected to be a close game, but Arizona was the favorite. So, seeing nearly the entire College GameDay panel select the Buffaloes was interesting.

Arizona's failure to secure wins in recent weeks is partly the reason for this optimism in Colorado. The Wildcats lost 41-19 last Saturday against number 13-ranked BYU. Before that, they lost 29-22 to Texas Tech. Arizona's last win? A 23-10 victory over Utah on Sept. 28.

Conversely, the Buffaloes have many people excited about this season. Before last week, they were on a three-game winning streak that included wins over Colorado State, Baylor, and UCF. Even in a loss last Saturday to number 17 Kansas State, there is reason to be optimistic.

Star two-way player Travis Hunter went down with an injury in the first half on Saturday against Kansas State and did not return. Then Omarion Miller, who had taken up most of Hunter's offensive duties, was injured in the fourth quarter. Despite those injuries, the Buffaloes were still only defeated 28-31 by a team ranked 17th in the nation.

Before this matchup against Arizona started, Travis Hunter was confirmed to be back in the lineup. So, the Buffaloes have all their top offensive weapons as they look to get back in the win column.
