“Needs to be a penalty”: CFB fans left unimpressed by Ole Miss RB Matt Jones allegedly fakes an injury

Ole Miss Rebels running back Matt Jones allegedly faked an injury in their game with the Kentucky Wildcats. In the build-up to a snap, Jones dramatically fell to the turf in what seemed to be a serious injury. However, a different camera angle said otherwise.

Broadcasters call out Matt Jones

Sean McDonough was the announcer to call out Jones for his act, saying:

"Fortunately Matt Jones survived to walk off the field. Just a blatant fake injury."

There has been no punishment for Matt Jones or the Rebels for this act, and there is unlikely to be anything done about it.
