Coach Matt Rhule's Nebraska Cornhuskers will host the undefeated Rutgers Scarlet Knights in their backyard on Saturday at Lincoln Memorial Stadium. The matchup has Nebraska favorites on it as they look to boost their six-game winning streak against Rutgers' football program in their history.

Freshman quarterback Dylan Raiola has started all games under center so far for the Huskers this season. They won four, winning against UTEP, Colorado, Northern Iowa and Purdue (last week) but lost a close one against Illinois the week before.

Will Dylan Raiola continue to start for Nebraska in Week 5?

Dylan Raiola isn't carrying any injuries and is expected to start for the Huskers on Saturday.

Raiola played for three different high schools, starting with Burleson High School (2020–2021) and then Chandler High School (2022) and Buford High School (2023).

Before Raiola pledged to Nebraska, he committed to go to the Georgia Bulldogs. However, it seems he made the right call, as he would have had to wait to get Kirby Smart's QB1 job but with Nebraska, he can shine from day one.

Dylan Raiola's performance in first five games of the 2024 season

In Week 1's 40-7 win over UTEP, Raiola passed for 238 yards and two touchdowns with a 70.4% completion rate.

In his second game, a 28-10 win over Deion Sanders' Colorado, Raiola threw for 185 yards and one touchdown.

In Week 3's 34-3 win over Northern Iowa, Dylan Raiola passed for 247 yards, two touchdowns and one interception on 17 of 23 attempts.

The following week, he took his first loss, an overtime 31-24 defeat against No. 24 Illinois. Dylan Raiola was sacked six times on top of him, throwing for one interception and three touchdowns.

Finally, last week, in a 28-10 win against Purdue, he threw for 257 yards on 17 of 27 attempts. He made one pass to the endzone.

Matt Rhule expects Dylan Raiola to land another victory for the Huskers and improve their outside odds to qualify for the 12-team playoff field.
