In a bizarre turn of events, Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin is being sued alongside former U.S. President Donald Trump's son Donald Trump Jr., daughter Ivanka and running mate JD Vance. The amount that these four people (among others) are being sued for is "$6 Gazillion."

The lawsuit has been filed in the state of Alabama by a woman who lives in Birmingham, according to the papers.

It is hard to work out what is going on here with the sheer number of people apparently being sued by this woman.

However, she does list Kiffin as the No. 1 defendant, so this could give us an idea. One theory is that she has heard about the lawsuit that Kiffin is involved in for copyright breaches and wanted to add to his legal problems with another lawsuit.

This could hurt the Ole Miss Rebels program, who may be a real contender for the SEC championship this season. They may challenge the likes of the Georgia Bulldogs and Alabama Crimson Tide.

As for the other people named, they are all political. The two Trumps are involved with their father's presidential election campaign, with JD Vance on the ticket as the vice-presidential nominee. The lawsuit could be her way of wanting to disrupt the campaign.

Obviously, this lawsuit won't go anywhere. The claim of "$6 gazillion" is not a real amount, just a general term used for a large amount of money. The collection of people involved does not make sense, and it all seems like a joke

Lane Kiffin responds to his actual lawsuit

One actual lawsuit Lane Kiffin is involved with surrounds his use of copyrighted material in his posts on social media.

According to the lawsuit, Kiffin posted material from the book "Winning Isn't Normal" by Dr Keith Bell, who owns the copyright for the book. Bell believes that what Kiffin did was a breach of copyright, and after failing to respond to his requests, Bell has sued Kiffin.

The Ole Miss coach has responded to this lawsuit by telling The Clarion-Ledger on Monday:

"I didn't really pay attention to it, I'm not supposed to comment. I mean, what are we talking about? I will just say, I've never read the book. I don't even remember the quote that I tweeted or something. I'm not supposed to say that either."

This lawsuit, unlike the other one, could lead to a court case. However, this will likely have no impact on the Ole Miss Rebels' performances this year.
