Travis Hunter, like every member of the Colorado football program, reiterated the narrative that they are hated across the college football landscape.

Since he arrived in Boulder, Coach Prime and his team have been at the center of attention in the landscape. In Hunter's appearance on a recent installment of the “Outta Pocket with RGIII” podcast, Hunter explains why he feels people hate Sanders and his team.

“We have too many eyes on us,” Hunter said. “They hate how we came in and then we didn’t live up to the standard last year…They see what we are doing this year…just jealousy that they have in their heart about us.”

Travis Hunter discloses Deion Sanders’ plan

Travis Hunter provided insight into Deion Sanders' commitment to Colorado. Despite rumors of potential exit after this season, Hunter expressed confidence, affirming that he remains deeply invested in the program's future.

“(Coach Sanders) loves it here,” Hunter declared. “He always talks about it, he loves being here but he is a Florida boy. You come outside and you see mountains.”
“That’s kind of shocking to him still to this day. He loves being here, the fans take care of us a lot. The school takes care of us a lot. So I know he wants to be here and he loves being here.”

Likely playing his last season in college football, Hunter shared that he and Coach Prime have joked about the possibility of Sanders coaching him in the NFL. He mentioned that they've talked about the subject lightheartedly, further emphasizing the strong bond between them.

Deion Sanders provides update on Travis Hunter's injury

Travis Hunter exited the Week 7 game against Kansas State in the first half due to a shoulder injury. However, head coach Deion Sanders provided an encouraging update on the two-way star in his weekly press conference on Tuesday.

“Colorado HC Deion Sanders said CB/WR Travis Hunter ‘should play for certain’ this week vs. Arizona, as should WR Jimmy Horn Jr.,” Brian Howell of Boulder Daily Camera reported on X. “Both missed the 2nd half vs. Kansas State.”

With Hunter reportedly available, Colorado will make the trip to Tucson this weekend in high spirits. The Buffaloes met the Wildcats last season in the Pac-12 but their opponent came out victorious. This is a great opportunity for Coach Prime and his team to avenge that loss.
