Kalen DeBoer's Alabama Crimson Tide had a disappointing first half at home versus the South Carolina Gamecocks. They only have a two-point lead at halftime (14-12) despite entering the game as 19.5-point favorites.

After a lackluster first half, Crimson Tide fans pleaded to their coach to use his frustration to light a fire under his players in the locker room. A post on X from Stephen M. Smith, an Alabama senior reporter, also requested DeBoer's wife Nicole to relay the message to her husband and his team.

"I am going to need [Nick Saban] and [Terry Saban] to go into that locker room and light this entire team up. I also need for Nicole DeBoer, Kalen DeBoer's wife, to let him know it is okay to get mad and rip into some guys. Alabama fans won't think any less of him."

The Crimson Tide's fanbase seems to be missing the tough-loving ways of Nick Saban as the team is facing a second-straight upset after losing to Vanderbilt last week.

Alabama carry lackluster performance into third quarter

Hope for Alabama to top South Carolina is dwindling as the Gamecocks lead the Crimson Tide 19-14 after three quarters. South Carolina's defensive unit has stymied the Alabama offense, limiting it to just 204 yards.

The Crimson Tide will have one quarter left to get things clicking on offense and walk away with a win. They have mustered just 58 rushing yards on 25 carries, averaging 2.3 yards per carry.

Star quarterback Jalen Milroe has struggled, completing just 12 of his 17 pass attempts for 146 yards and one interception without a passing touchdown.

Milroe has also struggled using his legs with just just 21 yards on 13 carries with a rushing touchdown. The Gamecocks have neutralized freshman phenom wideout Ryan Williams, limiting him to two catches for seven yards so far.
