"It's just something that I've come to really love": Ole Miss QB Jaxson Dart on being in touch with his stylish self (GETTY)

Jaxson Dart enters his fourth season of college football with a national championship on his mind. The Ole Miss Rebels star thrived in 2023 and will aim to end his college career well.

Ahead of the 2024 season, Dart talked about his love for fashion, eye black routine and hopes for the 2024 college football season in an interview with GQ Sports.

Speaking about his taste in fashion, Dart said:

"I remember my first time coming to the South. I felt like every guy dressed the exact same. ... But I think the biggest thing for me is, you know, I've just grown up as a West Coast kid, a little more in tune with the fashion trends. My mom's into it, and she’s done a great job of letting me choose and find things that I like and just giving me options. At the same time, it's just something that I've come to really love and to express myself in different ways."

Dart paints an eye black above and below his right eye before every game. The Rebels' star spoke about his trademark game face look.

"I feel like it's become a ritual for me. ... I feel like it looks cool, but at the same time, it definitely makes me lock in and get mentally ready to go into whatever atmosphere it may be and put on a show."

Dart spoke about the Rebels' aim for this season.

"I'm really just excited. That's the feeling I have about it. I love the anticipation, and I love the momentum this program has. ... I'm just excited to be in this position and hopefully do something that hasn't been done here in a very long time."

What to expect from Jaxson Dart in 2024?

Jaxson Dart was a major reason for the Rebels 11-2 record in 2023. Dart posted a stat line of 2,985 passing yards, 20 touchdowns and five interceptions. He led the Rebels to a Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl win over the Penn State Nittany Lions.

Expect the Ole Miss Rebels to be just as dominant in 2024. They only lost games to the Alabama Crimson Tide and Georgia Bulldogs last season. In 2024, they don't face the Crimson Tide, but there's one against regular foes, the Bulldogs. Let's see whether Dart and Co. can fulfill their lofty targets.
