Florida State coach Mike Norvell confirmed on Tuesday that DJ Uiagalelei will not start for the Seminoles this weekend.

He reportedly broke a finger on his right/throwing hand. Uiagalelei will likely be out for a few weeks while recovering.

Who will start at QB for Florida State in week 6?

Norvell announced redshirt freshman Brock Glenn will open under center against Clemson.

The Covington, Tennessee, native played sporadically last season, throwing for 229 yards (19 of 51) and two interceptions with no touchdowns. His five appearances during the ACC championship game and the Orange Bowl.

After Uiagalelei's injury last week, Glenn filled in but didn't complete any of his four pass attempts.

Freshman quarterback Luke Kromenhoek will back up Glenn this week and might see action.

What has Mike Norvell said?

On Tuesday, FSU coach Mike Norvell discussed Brock Glenn's performance against SMU last weekend.

"I wanted to see that opportunity for Brock to go in and execute: Norvell said. I thought he did some good things, (he) had a nice throw we didn't finish on. I thought he did miss one of the vertical shots.
"But the overall operation of what we asked him to do was good. That wasn't shocking to me. Brock and Luke both do a great job in how they prepare. They try to prepare as if they are going to play every play in the game."

While he has struggled in his previous opportunities, Seminoles fans hope things will be different for Glenn on Saturday.

The Seminoles' season might even rebound if the sophomore helps author an upset against Clemson.
