No one in college football knows quite how to express themselves like Colorado Buffaloes wide receiver and cornerback Travis Hunter. The two-way star has slowly transformed into an icon both on the field and in the NIL space.

Hunter does not have an NIL deal with Nike, unlike his teammate quarterback Shedeur Sanders. But he was spotted rocking a pair of custom cleats from the brand that caught the attention of many.

The shoes feature the classic Nike swoosh dripped in "gold" with cowhide covering the backs and overlay of the shoe. The gold and black coloring blend right in with the logo and aesthetic of the teams' uniforms.

They're the kind of cleats only someone with the character of Hunter could pull off.

Colorado looks to bounce back against Arizona

Colorado with a 4-2 record is set to take on the Arizona Wildcats with a 3-3 record at 4 p.m. EDT. If Hunter and the Buffaloes want to be on a path to compete for the Big 12 championship, wins against unranked teams like the Wildcats are critical to success.

Arizona opened the year ranked No. 21 in the country, delivering a dominant 61-39 win against the New Mexico Lobos. The team has gone 2-3 since and are coming off a brutal 41-19 defeat from the No. 13-ranked BYU Cougars.

Colorado is entering this week coming off of a 31-28 defeat against the No. 17-ranked Kansas State Wildcats.

Both of these squads have had defensive blemishes throughout the season. Arizona has allowed at least 28 points in all three losses, while Colorado has allowed 28 in both losses. This matchup should be a shootout that comes down to situational quarterback play and turnover differential.

Hunter's matchup against star wide receiver for Arizona Tetairoa McMillan, a fellow projected first-round pick in the 2025 NFL draft, will be a point of emphasis for viewers. McMillan had just five catches for 78 yards for the Wildcats against BYU.
