Colorado Buffaloes two-way star Travis Hunter has been making headlines both on and off the gridiron. The wideout recently pledged to donate $5,000 to the family of a bullying victim and also joked that he needed to sanction the money from his fiancée, Leanna Lenee.

In a video posted by CU content creator Big Mike on X, Hunter was asked how much he was donating to the family of the young schoolboy who was being bullied. While Colorado coach Deion Sanders urged his players to donate between $5 and $10, Hunter flaunted his deep compassion and commitment to helping his community.

"Probably like 5k bro. I like to give back sometimes," Hunter said when he was asked about his donation.

Hunter then cheekily said he also needed to discuss the financial aspects of the grant with Lenee, referring to her as his "wifey."

“I still gotta talk to the wifey first," Hunter said. "Can't have $5k just go missing." Hunter said before bursting into laughter.

Hunter and Lenee are childhood sweethearts and reportedly began dating in February 2022. They announced their engagement on Feb. 5 this year.

On Tuesday, Colorado coach Deion Sanders provided an update on Hunter's shoulder injury, saying the cornerback/wideout is likely to be available for the Week 8 matchup against Arizona on Saturday.

"Travis should play for certain on Saturday," Sanders said in his press conference on Tuesday.

Hunter injured his right shoulder in Colorado's Week 7 clash against Kansas State. He exited in the second quarter and did not return as the Buffs lost the matchup 31-28.

While there were fears that Hunter's injury might be a serious one, it appears that the two-way star should be able to make a recovery in time to face the Wildcats.
